I took a break for a couple months because life got a little crazy. Sometimes when you take a break like that, you come back to a dry field. No ideas come to mind. How do you jumpstart your writing again? Where do you find ideas?

Friday Fun Facts: The Book That Changed the History of Slavery

On this day in 1852, Uncle Tom’s Cabin was published. Fugitive slave laws had recently been tightened, inspiring Harriet Beecher Stowe to write her classic, anti-slavery book. The book sold 300,000 copies in three months. It helped shape the way Americans thought of slavery. When Stowe met President Abraham Lincoln in 1862, it is reported that he said, “So this is the little lady who made this big war.”
