Friday Fun Facts: Felix Salten – The Man Who Wrote “Bambi”
Felix Salten was born on this day in 1869 in Budapest. His children’s book Bambi was published in 1923. Walt Disney released the beloved animated version of the book in 1942.
Salten lived in Vienna but fled in 1939 because he was Jewish. He went to Switzerland where he remained until he died in 1945.
